The 1st ODI between Sri Lanka and Bangladesh is scheduled to go ahead as planned after 2 of the 3 members of the contingent who tested positive for Covid 19 have tested negative in the 2nd PCR Test.
Earlier bowing coach Chaminda Vaas, Isuru Udana and Shiran Fernando tested positive in the initial PCR tests conducted.
only Shiran Fernando tested positive in the 2nd PCR Test and the other two returned a negative result.
Shiran Fernando had earlier contracted the virus back home in Sri Lanka and had undergone quarantine before joining the squad.
Team sources confirmed Cricwire that the game would go ahead as planned as they believe the PCR test shown positive for Shiran Fernando might be due to the after effects of him contracting the virus in April.
