Sri Lanka lost the 1st ODI against Bangladesh today by 33 runs, thereby not making any progress in the ICC World Cup Super League table.
Currently, Sri Lanka languish at the bottom of the table with 4 losses in four games with -2 Points.
Bangladesh however have progressed to 4th place with 40 points under their belt – equaling the highest number of points accumulated by any team so far. They are 4th in the table down to Net Run Rate.
With two more games to go in the series, Bangladesh will move to the top of the table if they manage to win at least one of the remaining games, which will mean they will win the series too.
