Former Bangladesh Skipper and wicketkeeper Mushfiqur Raheem came to the rescue today to lead Bangladesh to a respectable 246 in the 2nd ODI against Sri Lanka.
Mahmudullah joined Mushfiqur Raheem at the fall of the 4th wicket when the score was at 74 and combined in a well constructed partnership of 87 off 108 balls.
In the 1st ODI of the series too, it was Mahmudullah and Mushfiqur who rescued Bangladesh with a 109 run partnership with the team in a similar situation having lost 4 wickets for 99 runs.

Mushfiqur has also involved in 3 more 100+ partnerships with Shakib Al Hasan, with the team in a similar situation.
This statistically makes Raheem a true “re-builder”. He has always been able to come to rescue Bangladesh with his fighting innings in the middle order.
Incidentally, 2 Sri Lankans – Angelo Mathews and Lahiru Thirimanne also have been involved in three 100+ partnerships when the team was 4+ wickets down under 100 on the board.
