Sri Lanka cricket selectors have picked a 28-member preliminary squad for the upcoming limited overs tour of England.
Sri Lanka are scheduled to play 3 T20Is and 3 ODIs in England starting with the 1st T20 to be played on 23rd June.
The 18 Players who were part of the Bangladesh tour arrived to the country yesterday (30th) and are placed on a bio security bubble, before they join the rest of the squad for training.
Former skipper Angelo Mathews also had been included in the 28 member squad but Mathews has informed his unavailability for selection due to his wife expecting a child delivery in few weeks.
Selectors are expected to pick a 22-man squad out of this preliminary pool and the team is scheduled to leave for the UK on the 8th of June.
