Sri Lankan legendary Spinner Rangana Herath is in discussion with Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) over joining them as their spin coach.
BCB has confirmed that Rangana Herath is the front-runner to replace New Zealand’s Daniel Vettori as spin bowling coach of Bangladesh.
Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) cricket operation chairman Akram Khan told Cricbuzz
“Herath is one of the candidates and he is certainly a front-runner for the post,”.
“We would try our best to finalise it before the Zimbabwe tour as Australia will be touring Bangladesh just after the Zimbabwe tour with New Zealand and England following suit,” Akram Khan added.
Rangana Herath told CricWire that he is currently discussing the matter with BCB and final decision about his new role will be taken later this week.(CricWire)
