Chennai Super Kings (CSK) pacer Deepak Chahar revealed how he motivated his fellow teammate Matheesha Pathirana in the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). Chennai Super Kings outplayed the Gujarat Titans in the “Qualifier 1” match at the MA Chidambaram Stadium on Tuesday, May 23.
The Chennai Super Kings beat the Gujarat Titans by 15 runs in the playoff match to reach their 10th final of the tournament. The MS Dhoni-led team scored 172 runs for 7 wickets after being asked to bat first. The Titans were bundled out for 157 runs, with Shubman Gill scoring 42 runs off 38 balls.
Deepak Chahar said that he motivated his teammates Matheesha Pathirana and Devon Conway by using prize money as a factor, adding that he converted the reward into their currency.
“I tell Pathirana, we’ll get 9crore rupees in Sri Lankan currency if we win. To Conway, I converted it in New Zealand dollar (3.8 million),” Chahar told on JioCinema in Chennai on Tuesday. (Cricketaddictor)
