Sri Lanka’s pride in IPL Lasith Malinga shares an unwanted record with Indian pacer Unadkat to be bowlers who have gone for a plenty for a particular batsman in IPL.
Former RCB star AB De Villiers against Malinga and MS Dhoni against Unadkat are the only two batters who have 200+ Strike Rate and 100+ average against a bowler in the IPL (100 runs minimum).
In 61 balls against AB, Malinga has conceded 124 runs with a strike rate of 203.2 which includes 8 sixes and 10 fours. Malinga has never dismissed AB in IPL as well.
Despite this record IPL’s second highest taker has won four IPL tiles while his counterpart AB has won nothing.
