Sri Lankan beat Bangladesh by 97 runs in the third and final ODI played at Dhaka today.
With this win Sri Lanka avoided the whitewash, though Bangladesh won the series 2-1.
Today’s win was largely thanks to captain Kusal Perera’s 120 and Pacer Dushmantha Chameera’s excellent spell of pace bowling, who returned with figures of 5 for 16 in 9 overs.

Chameera joins Chaminda Vaas, Sanath Jayasuriya and Thisara Perera who had taken 9 wickets each in 3 match ODI series before. The latest such instances is 7 years ago when Thisara Perera took 9 wickets against Pakistan in 2014.
